For tuition providers

Featured listing terms

Plain-English terms for featured listings: what you pay, how to cancel, when we refund, and what fair use means. Last updated 25 October 2026.

1. What you get

A listing on the featured tutors page for one centre location. Parents can find it by the tests, subjects and schools you prepare for and by distance from their postcode. Every featured listing is clearly labelled Sponsored. Listings are ordered by distance and the parent's filters, never by how much anyone pays.

We don't promise a number of views, enquiries or pupils.

2. Prices and VAT

Prices are per centre location. They exclude VAT, which is added at the standard UK rate (20%). The VAT-inclusive amount is shown in brackets.

  • Founding rate: £24 a month + VAT (£28.80), or £240 a year + VAT (£288). For the first 50 providers, or until 31 August 2027. Your price is locked for your first 12 months.
  • Standard rate: £39 a month + VAT (£46.80), or £390 a year + VAT (£468). After the founding offer closes.
  • Each extra location: £15 a month + VAT (£18), or £150 a year + VAT (£180).

We invoice in advance for each month or year. A VAT invoice is issued for every payment. If prices change, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

3. Cancelling and refunds

Monthly: no minimum term. Cancel at any time through the contact form. Your listing stays live until the end of the month you've paid for. Part months aren't refunded.

Yearly: if you cancel within 30 days of the start of a yearly term, we refund the unused months pro rata. We keep the cost of the time your listing was live, counted in whole months at the monthly rate. After 30 days the listing runs to the end of the year you've paid for and isn't refunded, but it won't renew if you've cancelled.

If we can't provide the service (for example the featured page is unavailable for more than 7 days in a row through our fault), we'll extend your listing by the lost time or refund that time, whichever you prefer.

Featured listings are a business service. Statutory consumer cancellation rights don't apply, but these terms don't affect any rights you have by law.

4. Fair use

To keep the page useful and fair for parents and for every provider:

  • One listing per location. Each listing covers one physical centre, or one online-only business. More locations need the extra-location add-on.
  • Your own business only. A listing can't be resold, shared, transferred to another business, or used to advertise a different provider.
  • Accurate claims. Tests, subjects and schools must be ones you actually prepare pupils for. Don't claim pass rates, school places or results you can't evidence if asked. Don't suggest any link with a school, council or exam board that doesn't exist.
  • Your own contact details. The website and phone number must be yours. No tracking redirects to third parties.
  • Reasonable changes. We'll update your profile, tests, subjects and schools up to 4 times a month. Corrections of our mistakes don't count.
  • Safeguarding and law. You're responsible for appropriate safeguarding checks for anyone who teaches children, and for complying with the law.
  • One refund per provider. The 30-day yearly refund applies once per business. Repeatedly signing up and cancelling to get the founding rate or a refund isn't fair use.

If a listing breaks these rules we'll tell you and give you 7 days to fix it. If it isn't fixed, or for serious breaches (false or misleading claims, safeguarding concerns, or anything unlawful), we may suspend or remove the listing straight away. No refund is due for a listing removed for a fair use breach.

5. Checks and labels

Before featuring you we check that your business exists, for example from its website and company registration where it has one. Sponsored labels and rel="sponsored" links are part of the service and can't be removed.

6. Questions

Use the contact form. We usually reply within one working day.
